The Campus

Cowley Sixth Form has many qualities that make it unique and one of those is its campus. We are extremely lucky to have a large, airy and spacious building which sits in its own landscaped grounds. The sixth form building dates from the 1930s when it was built as the Cowley Boy’s Grammar school. For many years, it was a symbol of Cowley’s academic values and a true icon of St Helens town. When the 11-16 school moved to a new site, the Cowley Building was extensively remodelled and brought bang up-to-date, combining Cowley’s history and tradition with superb modern facilities. Sixth form students benefit from the following:

  • Dedicated site, wholly separate to the lower school
  • Roomy and attractive building
  • Wi-fi and phone charging points
  • Canteen open from 8.00am, serving a range of food and drinks from sandwiches to hot meals
  • Vending machines selling a variety of healthy snacks and drinks
  • Comfortable and relaxed seating areas
  • Specialist subject areas
  • Fully equipped library and resource area
  • Patio and outdoor seating area
  • Access to sports field, 3G pitch and PE facilities
