Cowley is a special place. Every year, we welcome students into the Sixth Form from many schools across St Helens and further afield. We pride ourselves on the support offered to every individual that joins Cowley and truly believe that every one of our students has an amazing potential to succeed.
Cowley is a larger than average Sixth Form which means we offer a wide portfolio of courses to our students. This ranges from traditional A-levels to vocational qualifications and career-based courses. Whatever your decision, you can guarantee that you will be taught by experts in the subject who are willing to go that extra mile to ensure that you achieve your true potential.

We invite Y11 students (from Cowley and beyond) and their parents/carers to our Open Evening this Thursday, from 4.30 – 7pm.
This event provides an excellent opportunity for both current applicants and those who are still undecided about their post-16 options to explore what Cowley Sixth Form has to offer.
Whether your daughter/son has already submitted an application or are still considering their choices, attending this Open Evening will give them the the chance to:
• Meet the team - hear from Head of Sixth Form, Danny Watkins, at 5:30pm.
• Get detailed information on our courses. Understand the pathways available and entry requirements, as well as finding out more on the courses available, including new for 2025 courses - ESports, Economics and Classical Civilisation.
• Ask questions and get advice: Speak directly with staff and current students about the journey ahead.
• Apply on the spot: For those who have yet to apply, we will have an application hub where they can complete their application on the evening itself.
