Core Mathematics

Core Mathematics, as part of Cowley’s Enrichment programme, is equivalent to an AS-level.

Core Mathematics starts at a lower level than A-level Mathematics and continues at a slower pace, allowing students who would otherwise not be able to keep up with the demands of A-level Mathematics to still enjoy a valued and worthwhile qualification. This two year course follows the GCSE approach with lots of number, algebra, shape, space and data handling.

Employers and universities have long stated that a greater number of students should follow Mathematics courses at Sixth Form.

Entry requirements
