Applicaa One – User Guide

This guide will walk you through the process of applying to Cowley Sixth Form using our online application system, Applicaa One.

1. Before You Start

Website: https://cowleysixthform.applicaa.com

What you’ll need:

• A valid email address
• Basic personal information
• Details about your current school and predicted grades
• Course choices for Sixth Form

2. Start the Application Process

• Access the Application Portal by going to https://cowleysixthform.applicaa.com
• Click on the “Start New Application” button
• You’ll be asked: “Do you currently attend this schools as a Year 11 student?”
• Select: “No, I don’t” – even if you currently attend Cowley

3. Let’s get started

• Enter both your personal and school email addresses
• Tick the box “I’m not a robot” and then complete the reCAPTCHA
• Click “Send Verification Emails”

4. Verify your email addresses

• An email will be sent to your email addresses, please log on to your email and click the link within the email sent to you from Applicaa saying “Verify Email Address”
• Click continue to move to the next stage

5. Personal information

• Enter all the information asked for including your first name, last name, gender, date of birth, year group you’re applying to join, phone number, current school
• Underneath that, you will be asked to create a password for your account – this must be at least 8 characters long and include a number and both upper and lower case characters
• Select the two boxes to “I agree to Cowley Sixth Form College’s Privacy Policy” and “I agree to Applicaa’s Privacy Policy”
• Select “I’m not a robot” and complete the reCAPTCHA
• Then click “Start Your Application”

6. Application Form

• Click on the box saying “Application Form”

7. Student Details

• Upload a passport-style photograph of yourself
• Fill in all the required fields with your details
• Once completed, click on “Save & Next”

8. Parent/Carer Details

• Provide contact information for at least 1 of your parents/carers
• Once completed, click on “Save & Next”

Top Tip: Make sure all information is accurate – the college will use these details to contact your parents/carers.

9. Support Information

• Answer the questions about welfare information
• Provide information about any medical conditions we need to know about and your doctor’s surgery information
• Once completed, click on “Save & Next”

10. Agreement

• Please ask your parent/carer to select parental consent for any of the following: Biometric Data, Home College Agreement, School Trips, Photograph, Video, Internet Access & ICT Systems
• Select your primary method of getting to college
• Click “Save & Next”

11. Education

• Please provide your current school information, once you start typing the name of the school, the details should appear to select
• Provide the courses you are currently studying and your predicted grades
• Click “Save & Next”

12. Courses

• Select the courses you are interested in studying with us at Cowley Sixth Form College
• You’ll typically choose 3-4 subjects
• Top Tip: Check the entry requirements carefully for each subject before selecting it.
• Once your courses are all selected and you’re happy with them, click “Submit” and your application will ping its way over to us!
• You should receive a confirmation email
• Keep this confirmation email safe – if you don’t receive a confirmation email within a few minutes, please check your spam/junk folder.

After your application is submitted

• You will be contacted by Cowley Sixth Form about the next steps
• This may include an invitation to an interview or open event
• Keep checking your email regularly
• You can log back into the portal to check the status of your application or amend any details if necessary
